What we collect
Your account details (username, email if provided), the prompts and lyrics you submit, the songs and cover art generated for you, and your credit and subscription history. Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor — they never touch our servers.
How we use it
To run the service: generating your songs, maintaining your library, managing credits and subscriptions, and providing support. Prompts and lyrics are sent to our AI infrastructure providers solely to generate your songs. We do not sell your personal information or your creations, and we do not use your lyrics or songs to train models.
Other users cannot see your library, but we may feature your songs. Unless you switch a song off, we may put it on the public Song Board or use it to promote PressWax — see section 5 of the Terms. If we do, that song's audio, cover art and title become visible to anyone on the internet. A featured song is credited to your username by default; you can set a different name per song, or switch attribution off in your account settings so songs show as "Anonymous". Your email address is never published. The description you typed is never published either. Every song has a "Keep this song out of promotion" control on its page — turn it on and that song is excluded and taken down if already up. If a song contains anything private about you or someone else, switch it off.
Cookies
We use only the session and security cookies Django needs to keep you signed in and protect forms. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Third parties
Stripe processes payments (see Stripe's privacy policy). Our AI infrastructure provider processes prompts and lyrics to generate audio and artwork. We share data with no one else except as required by law.
Retention & deletion
Your songs and account data are kept while your account exists. Deleting a song removes its audio and artwork from our servers. To delete your account and its data entirely, email us and we'll take care of it.
